Fried Green Beans


1 Lb. green beans
1 cup flour
2/3 tablespoon pepper
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 cup corn meal
1/8 teaspoon garlic salt
1 tablespoon salt
1 cup buttermilk
1 egg

In one bowl mix buttermilk and egg. In another bowl mix dry ingredients. 

Wash and snip beans. Place in milk/egg mixture, than shake in flour/cornmeal mixture. Deep fry in oil until golden brown.

Dipping sauce: 1/3 cup ketchup, 1/3 cup mayonnaise, 1 tablespoon worcestershire

  1. I am on a highly sodium restricted diet. Do you think you could replace the salt with some othe seasoning? I can’t use that salt substitute either.
