Since we have wood laminate and paper bag floors, I use a Swiffer and a microfiber mop a lot! I buy boxes of the dust cloths at garage sales when I find them, but hate paying retail price at the store.
I also buy fabric at garage sales and have a stock pile of fleece. The perfect combination! Use any kind of fleece, either by the yard, or pajamas or blankets. You can make your own cloths to use, wash, and use again.
One fun note – you can have cloths in all different colors and patterns.
Simply cut lots of 8-1/2″ x 10″ rectangles if you like to be exact.
That’s it! Wrap them around and poke in the holes and you are ready to sweep!
I like them better than the cloths that are sold to use. They are thicker, last longer, can be washed and reused, and cost hardly anything. This was after one sweep under my stove! Don’t judge – 2 dogs, lots of people, and floors that are magnets to all of the above. You get the point, these cloths work!
