Metal Tray With a Vintage Quilt Bottom

Metal Tray With a Vintage Quilt Bottom

I liked my vintage window and quilt project so much, I thought I would do something else to match.  I had bought this metal tray at a garage sale for $1 and thought it would be great for a remote control holder.

It was so easy, you just need a vintage “cutter” quilt, or any other fabric would do. I cut a piece of card board to fit the tray and picked a section of the quilt that I liked and had no holes.

I cut a piece of the quilt with enough room to wrap around and secure.  I simply wrapped it around the cardboard, secured with masking tape, and placed in the bottom of the tray.

I always keep small felt Sliders around.  These are extra small ones and perfect for sticking on the bottom of the tray so the metal won’t scratch the table.

This is perfect for remotes, a drink tray, or about anything!
